about
Canadian pianist John Kameel Farah combines European counterpoint with Middle Eastern melodicism. His solo piece „Introitus" evolves from an introspective dialogue between Baroque and Arabic phrases into tremendous Romantic virtuosity, and back again, while exploring the subtle dynamic shades of the piano with crisp ornamentation. A ride through space and time as wild as it is emotional.
"Introitus" is the first digital release from the album "Live im Haus des Rundfunks" by the six pianists Gregor Schwellenbach, Daniel Brandt, Paul Frick (Brandt Brauer Frick), Erol Sarp (Grandbrothers), Kai Schumacher and John Kameel Farah.
